A good health and knowledge about diseases as well as of preventive measures are basic conditions for a positive development. Many diseases could be prevented by carrying out information projects concerning health issues. Common diseases in the countries where we work are hiv/aids and malaria.

A large part of the local inhabitants have relatively or very limited knowledge about these diseases and the way they are passed on. Twiga therefore believes that it is important to run these kind of projects together with the local inhabitants.

Except for the cooperations listed below there is a work group interested in working with health questions in Enkokidongoi, Kenya.
