Back in Sweden again

Now I am back in Sweden again after seven months internship in Mbale, Uganda. It has been an incredibly exciting time and it was a little sad (ok, very sad, the tears came more than once) to leave. We have come so close to the people we have worked with and I hope it will not be too long until I can go back to Uganda again.

In Mooni we have mainly worked with the women's group, and we have also started a business association called Maua, which we are trying to sell women's handicrafts. Check out www.maua.se and see what we are doing. In november we started a English courses for the women´s group which has been very appreciated.

In the project Mbale Tigers we have had girls group as well as an exchange with a girls group from a Swedish school (Munkhätteskolan in Malmö). There has been a lot of discussion and also a lot of fun. We finished this project with an exhibition at the club before Christmas, and the Swedish girls will have a similar exhibition weeks in Malmö, Sweden.
