More football!

Football is on the march in Mooni Sports Club. Several boys teams are now playing regularly in three different age groups. The most fun is that even the girls have taken an obvious place in football. Right now one girls team is training regulary. But when the ice is broken in a sport previously dominated by boys, we hope for a rapid development.

It is welcoming that our current trainees, Ingmar Ekblad and Jana Karlsson, who will travel to Mbale in the summer has long experience in football, both as player and coaches.

In addition to sport there has been a number of seminars conducted in Moonie Sports Club with over a hundred participants each time. Thede have focused on girls opportunities in sport, links between sport and development. A seminar on HIV / AIDS has also been held.

The club has also taken the initiative to seek sponsors in Uganda, which favors the development of greater independence. The players also wanted to spread their knowledge of sports and organisation development and has started up a pilot team in the village next to Mooni.
