Table tennis at the European Development Days

Åke Larsson is giving his speech

At the European Development Days 2009 Åke Larsson, director for Österlen folkhögskola, spoke about our table tennis project in Mbale, Uganda, and about the advantages of mixing education with sports to create a motivating climate for development. The title was "European citizens as catalysts for change" and the paneldiscussion inkluded besides Åke amongst other Benjamin Mkapa (former president of Tanzania), Thérèse Olenga Kalonda (Minister of Education, Environment, Communication and Gender of the provincial government in Kinshasa) and with Margot Wallström in the audience.
