Money from Folke Bernadotte Academy

Yesterday the Uganda Committee were granted money from Folke Bernadott Academy from their project the Peace Million. The money will be used in cooperation with Gulu Youth for Wealth Creation Association (GYWAS) about security regarding water resourses. In detail GYWAS will help elect water committees in different districts and these committees will then get education about and work towards ensuring everyones rights, creating guidelines for the use of the water sourses, preventing and solving conflicts as well as lobbying the authorities so that the people can have an as good as possbile water access.

The project will start in August 2010 when the election work will begin and the project will end in January 2011.
