Long-awaited schoolbooks!

All of the school children gathered in the playground to receive their new schoolbooks, bought with the 5500 SEK worth of Christmas donations we collected. It was a great pleasure to hand over the books to the school, knowing that they were dearly needed. Grade 8 students who began the new term in January without a single book would now be able to have a complete set of books for the whole year!

Of course it was a lot more books than just those. With the 66810 KES (Kenya Shillings), we managed to buy a total of 236 new books! On top of that, my fellow traveller Barbro Swanberg collected some extra money from her work colleagues and bought 57 story books for the students to use as reading material. We would like to thank all donators for their vital contributions.

All of the school’s needs are still far from satisfied, and we urge all those who are able to continue giving their support to Noontoto Primary School.
