Southern Kenya

Twiga cooperates with different organizations in Southern Kenya for the purpose of supporting the Massai people´s quest for improved living conditions in a difficult situation.

We have cooperated with different organisations in the area of Enkokidongoi, which is situated east of the mountain Oldoinyo Orok, ever since Twiga was established.

For many years students and teachers from the Africa course at Österlens Folk High School have been involved in the cooperation and there has been many visitors from the Folk High School since the mid 1970s which has helped establish many contacts.

The cooperation has developed within several areas and has created better conditions for many people by working towards more hopeful future.
