Uganda Committee : Ongoing Projects
The Uganda Committe received funding from Stiftelsen Konung Gustav V:s 90-årsfond to carry out a small course in basic health education for the youths in Gulu Youth for Wealth Creation Association. (GYWCA). During one week in january, they will receive seminars, workshops and practical hands-on experience concering subject such as hiv/aids, sexuality, family planning, communication, counseling, leadership etc.
The course was demanded bu the youth group and is therefor really fufilling a need they have. GYWCA suggested that Health Alert Uganda (HAU) would be their trainers, since they are knowledgabel in this field. This was very fortunate for all of us, since the Uganda Committee just hade started another cooperation with HAU.
The course has now been carried out and we are waiting for reports in order to finish this project.
