Uganda - East Africa

Uganda is situated in East Africa with English as the official language. The populations is made up of many ethnic groups with Christianity and Islam as the largest religions. According to the Human Development Report 2006 83% of the population live in poverty. Twiga cooperates with grass roots organisations in Uganda to support democracy, sports and education. Twiga also works with youths effected by the war in northern Uganda within the areas of health, ecological house building and information.
